Lithium carbonate prices add pressure on batteries, EVs
The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate has climbed up to CNY 502,500 ($79,487.14)/tonne as of 7 March, an increase of about 67.5% from the beginning of this year. The continuing price increase adds pressure for battery producers and electric vehicle makers as lithium carbonate is a key material in lithium-ion power battery production.
