LITHIUM: Albemarle divests fine chemicals to focus on batteries
Charlotte, North Carolina’s Albemarle Corporation is exiting the fine chemistry services business to focus on “core, growth-oriented business segments,” the company says in a release.
The company’s Fine Chemistry Services business, which produces registered starting materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients, will be sold to WR Grace & Co for $570 million.
