Li-Metal completes concept study for North American lithium metal plant
Canada-based Li-Metal Corp says it has completed a concept study for a commercial North American lithium metal production facility, Kallanish reports.
Undertaken by global engineering firm Hatch, the study estimates the plant’s total capital expenditure, for an estimated capacity of 1,000 tonnes/year, to be $109 million. From piloting and engineering to construction activities, a commercial-scale plant is expected to take 48 months to complete.
