Largo Resources to supply first grid-scale VRFB system to Spain
Vanadium producer Largo Resources is proceeding with the sale of its first grid-scale vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) system, Kallanish reports.
Enel Green Power Espana is acquiring a 1.22-megawatt/6.1 megawatt-hour (5-hour duration) battery system to be installed at an Enel site in Spain. The VRFB project is expected to be commissioned in fourth quarter 2022. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
