Kazakhstan’s scientists develop water-based batteries
Kazakh scientists at the Nazarbayev University (NU) have created water-based batteries, which they claim to be a safer and more energy-intensive than lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.
Professors of the NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, Aishuak Konarov and Zhumabay Bakenov, invented a battery in which an organic electrolyte is replaced by a water-based electrolyte.
