KAZ Minerals increases copper production in January-September
UK-based, Kazakhstan-focused mining company KAZ Minerals increased copper production by 26% on-year to 282,000 tonnes in January-September, Kallanish notes.
The increase was due to Aktogay operating above design capacity, as well as improved performance at Sulphide 1 and the oxide plant, the enterprise claims.
Aktogay produced 168,000 t of copper, up 64% compared with the 102,000 t in January-September 2021.
