Japan to remove tax breaks for pure petrol cars
The Japanese government plans to exclude the cars that are only powered by gasoline from the list of vehicles qualified for tax benefits from 2025, according to financial newspaper Nikkei Asia.
The report says the government and the ruling party aim to tighten the low-emission oriented tax benefit selection to accelerate the transition towards battery electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, Kallanish notes.
