Japan may greenlight L4 autonomous driving on road soon
Japan's National Police Agency recently released its plan of implementing the country's revised Road Traffic Law by April 2023 for public comments. The new law is expected to include the permission for level-four autonomous driving under certain conditions.
The department will be collecting public comments until late November. The exact starting date and the procedures will be confirmed at a later stage.
