Ivanhoe Mines continues ramp-up at DRC copper complex
Ivanhoe Mines says its Kamoa-Kakula copper complex in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) will reach an annual production rate of 600,000 tonnes, but guidance for this year remains unchanged.
The project produced 100,812 t of copper in concentrate during the second quarter of 2024, for a total of 186,925 t in the first half. The figures represent decreases of 3% and 5% compared to the same periods last year, respectively.
