Incitec Pivot studies green hydrogen, ammonia collaboration with FFI
Australia’s largest fertiliser supporter Incitec Pivot, together with Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), will evaluate the prospect of converting its ammonia-production facility to run on green hydrogen.
The companies will conduct a feasibility study for the conversion of the facility at Gibson Island in Brisbane, which currently uses natural gas as feedstock. Preliminary results of the study are slated for late 2021.
