Iberdrola to supply Barcelona’s first hydrogen-powered buses
Spanish power utility Iberdrola and public transport company TMB are building a green hydrogen plant to feed Barcelona’s first fuel-cell buses, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed contract signed by the companies will be used to break ground for the hydrogen producing facility for public use in Spain. Construction will start “shortly” and the plant should be operational in November, when the first eight buses will be delivered.
