Hyundai sued over child labour allegations in Alabama

The US Department of Labor (DOL) has sued Hyundai and two associated companies over child labour allegations in Alabama. The government agency asks a court for the three companies to stop employing underage workers and surrender profits “related to the use of oppressive child labour.” In the complaint, the three defendants are Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama LLC, components manufacturer SMART Alabama LLC and staffing agency Best Practice Service. …
