Hyliion improves cooling by 40% with new battery system
Texas-based electric long-haul powertrain producer Hyliion has developed a new next-gen battery module using Toshiba’s lithium-titanate-oxide (LTO) cell, Kallanish reports.
Hyliion claims the new battery and associated proprietary charging system provide longer life, higher charging rates, and better safety.
A key metric for the new system is a 40% improvement in cooling.
