Hydro-Quebec launches EVLO energy storage subsidiary
Canada’s Hydro-Quebec says it is entering the energy storage business with its new EVLO Energy Storage subsidiary that will design, build and operate energy storage systems for customers, Kallanish reports.
The company is targeting mostly power producers, transmission providers and distributors as well as commercial and industrial customers for medium- and large-scale storage with modular systems with its lithium iron phosphate batteries.
