Hy2Go to build Scotland’s first green hydrogen plant
Scottish energy firm Hy2Go announced on Tuesday plans to build the country’s first commercial green hydrogen production hub, set to start operations next year.
The company said in a statement sent to Kallanish that the £45 million ($58.5m) plant in Lanarkshire, near Glasgow, will feature a 9-megawatt (MW) hydrogen electrolyser powered by solar and wind energies. In a second-phase expansion, this capacity could reach 20MW.
