HDF Energy opens high-power H2 fuel cell factory in France
Hydrogène de France (HDF Energy) said Friday it has inaugurated what it calls the “world’s first” high-power hydrogen fuel cell factory in Blanquefort, France.
Located on the former Ford gearbox manufacturing plant near Bordeaux, the factory will produce 1-megawatt-plus fuel cells based on proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology. The site aims to decarbonise heavy maritime and rail mobility, as well as power generation for public grids.
