GM to invest $800m in plant conversion in Canada
General Motors plans to start manufacturing its new BrightDrop commercial electric vehicle, the EV600, in Canada by the end of the year, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The conversion of the CAMI manufacturing plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, will be available with the injection of nearly $800 million of investment. This will enable GM to transform the plant into Canada’s first large-scale electric delivery vehicles factory.
