GM teams with Autocar on fuel cell electric vehicles
General Motors and Autocar Industries have signed a joint development agreement to create a range of hydrogen fuel cell-powered commercial vehicles.
The heavy-duty vehicles will be powered by GM’s 77-kilowatt “Hydrotec” power cubes, which contain more than 300 hydrogen fuel cells. Autocar and GM will develop the vehicles together, with the first truck expected to go into production in 2026.
