Global warming effect of leaked hydrogen 12 times worse than CO2: study
A new study led by the Norwegian climate centre CICERO estimates that the global warming effect of leaked hydrogen is nearly 12 times stronger than CO2, Kallanish reports.
The study, published in the journal Communications Earth & Environment, was led by Dr Maria Sand, a senior scientist at CICERO. While hydrogen continues to gain momentum as a potential solution for the green energy transition, its climate effects lack research.
