GIG reaches financial close on 40 MW UK battery project
Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG) announced on Tuesday financial close on its first UK battery storage project, kickstarting a pipeline of seven facilities.
The green infrastructure investment specialist told Kallanish the 40-megawatt battery storage project in Maldon, Essex, has reached a “competitive contractual structure.” It will come online in early 2023.
