Germany’s revised hydrogen strategy bets heavily on imports

The German federal cabinet updated on Wednesday the country’s national hydrogen strategy, noting that it will have to import around 50-70% of hydrogen to meet 2030 demands. The strategy, first adopted in 2020, lays down the guidelines for the production, transport, and use of hydrogen and its derivatives.
