GEM signs 20,000 nickel t/y Indonesia-based joint venture agreement
Wuxi GEM Energy Material, a subsidiary of Shenzhen-listed manufacturer GEM, plans to jointly invest in an Indonesian nickel project with Singapore-based Cahaya Jaya Investment and a Hong Kong-based subsidiary of Shanghai-listed Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection.
The companies recently signed a joint venture framework agreement for a total of $500 million investment. Wuxi GEM Energy Material will hold a 51% stake in the venture, Kallanish learns.
