COPPER: Freeport boosts copper production in Q1
US-based Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) saw its copper production and sales improve year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021, Kallanish learns from the company's latest earnings report.
Q1 total output reached 910 million pounds or 24.4% higher y-o-y. Production from the seven open-pit copper mines in North America was up 2% y-o-y to 353m lb.
