Fortescue acquires 12.5% stake in Norwegian Hydrogen for $8.9m
Australian mining giant Fortescue has acquired a 12.5% stake in Norwegian Hydrogen for around NOK 100 million ($8.95m), becoming its third-largest shareholder, Kallanish learns.
Norwegian Hydrogen is currently developing its first hydrogen plant in Hellesylt, Norway, with a capacity to produce 1,300 kilograms of hydrogen per day. The plant, which has a 3-megawatt (MW) electrolyser primarily powered by local hydropower plants, is set to begin production in 2024. Se…
