Ford posts surge in BEV, PHEV quarterly sales
Ford posted on Wednesday a significant increase in all-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sales in the US during the second quarter of the year.
The legacy carmaker has been focusing on PHEVs as many others in the industry, as consumers resist the shift to BEVs. Hybrid sales surged by 56% to 53,822, a new quarterly sales record since Ford started producing hybrids two decades ago.
