FlexGen, Kansas Power Pool to develop battery storage project
FlexGen is partnering with the Kansas Power Pool to design, build and operate what will be the largest battery storage system, to date, in the state of Kansas, Kallanish reports.
The Solomon Energy Storage Centre will produce 1 megawatt/5.1 megawatt-hours in Minneapolis, Kansas. It will produce power to meet peak demand or after storms that disrupt the electric grid, providing power to about 250 homes. The facility is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2021…
