EVs still clear emissions winner with current electric grid: study
It’s definitively a myth that electric vehicles (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles pollute equally due to EVs’ reliance on grid electricity, says a new study from the International Council on Clean Transportation.
A lifecycle assessment of EVs and ICE vehicles found that - today - EVs have 66-69% lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than ICE vehicles in Europe; 60-68% less in the US; 37-45% less in China; and 19-34% less in India.…
