European Lithium to research sustainable battery recycling
Australia-listed European Lithium (EUR) has partnered with the University of Graz in Austria to develop closed loop recycling for lithium-ion batteries under a research project.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday its wholly-owned subsidiary, ECM Lithium, will become the industrial partner on the project. They intend to include recycled battery material into the envisaged lithium hydroxide production process, Kallanish understands.
