European BEV sales start 2021 at a slower pace
Sales of pure electric vehicles (BEVs) in Western Europe started the year shy, compared to the record-high achieved in December, Kallanish learns from Schmidt Automotive Research.
According to its latest monthly report, new BEV registrations in the region rose 19.7% year-on-year in January to 45,970 units. The volume represents a penetration of 6% in the total European car market.
