Eramet makes progress in lithium extraction from geothermal brine
French miner Eramet has successfully extracted lithium from geothermal brine at the Rittershoffen geothermal power plant in northern Alsace, France. The extraction is the result of a pilot project in partnership with the plant operator Électricité de Strasbourg (ES), in the framework of the Geothermal Lithium Brine (EuGeLi) project launched in 2019.
