Envision breaks ground for LFP gigafactory in Spain
AESC has broken ground for a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery gigafactory in Navalmoral de la Mata, Cáceres, Spain, Kallanish learns.
The Spanish factory will manufacture “the latest generation” of LFP battery products, with first production expected in 2026. Though Phase 1 is estimated to demand €1 billion ($1.08 billion) in investment, the company is yet to confirm production capacity volumes.
