Energy Renaissance plans Australian gigafactory for residential, commercial batteries
Australian battery producer Energy Renaissance plans to build an AUD 28 million ($20.04m) gigafactory in Tomago, according to a company release.
Dubbed Renaissance One, the facility will be completed sometime in 2021, says managing director Mark Chilcote.
Initial battery capacity will begin at 66MWh/year, eventually scaling to 5.4GWh/y. Total investment cost will likely be over AUD 200 million, Kallanish understands.
