Energy Fuels crafts first rare earth element batch in Utah
Lakewood, Colorado-based Energy Fuels Inc has produced its inaugural batch of rare earth element (REE) carbonate concentrate at its White Mesa Mill in Blanding, Utah, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
White Mesa is the uranium supplier’s first major foray into REE production. The company claims that its effort is the first REE concentrate derived from monazite sands in North America in at least 20 years.
