Enel, AME plan to build Chile’s first green hydrogen plant
Enel Green Power Chile (EGP) and Chilean power utility AME are planning to build the first green hydrogen production facility in Chile, Kallanish understands.
The companies say in a statement the pilot project would be the country’s first venture into hydrogen and one of the largest of its kind in Latin America. Fuel will be produced through an electrolyser powered by wind energy in Cabo Negro, in the Magallanes Region.
