EasyJet, Cranfield to develop hydrogen plane
EasyJet is participating in the development of a hydrogen-powered aircraft in line with its quest to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Together with Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, it is exploring the integration of a fuel cell propulsion system on its commercial aircraft and believes that hydrogen, hydrogen-electric or hybrid planes could be ready to fly as early as 2035.
