DOE to provide $5m for lithium-ion battery workforce initiative
The US Department of Energy is awarding $5 million to launch a lithium-ion battery workforce initiative, Kallanish reports.
The programme will support up to five pilot projects to train battery manufacturing workers in energy and automotive communities to boost the lithium-ion battery industry. Partners include the US Department of Labor and the AFL-CIO. Details on the projects will be released later.
