COPPER: Trump blocks Alaska’s Pebble mine project
Canadian mining company Northern Dinasty has received a major blown from the Trump administration, after the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) denied permit for a planned copper project in Alaska.
The company said in a statement late on 25 November that USACE found the compensatory mitigation plan for the Pebble project to be “non-compliant” and that the project is “not in the public interest.”
