COPPER: Copper supply squeeze pushes prices near record high
Copper prices are nearing a 10-year high, putting further pressure on electric vehicle margins, Kallanish learns from the London Metal Exchange.
The exchange currently puts cash copper at $9,067.5/tonne. The last time copper broke the $9,000/t barrier was back in November 2011, when it crested more than $9,900/t. It subsequently reached an all-time high of $10,190/t.
