COPPER: SK networks, LS-Nikko Copper partner on materials recycling
South Korean SK networks and LS-Nikko Copper announced Monday a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on copper recycling, Kallanish reports.
Their first project involves the recycling of 50,000 waste mobile phones, with LS-Nikko Copper refining wasted materials including copper into “value-added metals.” The collaboration will initially focus on IT devices but will later expand into EV batteries.
