COPPER: Polish KGHM production, sales flatten in 2020
Polish-based KGHM Polska Miedź Group has slightly increased its copper both production and sales on-year in 2020, Kallanish learns from the company.
According to preliminary monthly data, total output rose by just 1% y-o-y from the 702,000 tonnes produced in 2019. Meanwhile, sales grew 3% more y-o-y to almost 724,000 t compared to the 557,000 t in 2019.
KGHM`s largest copper production unit is the Sierra Gorda mine in Chile, with a 72% share.
