Kintavar Exploration is reporting what the company calls a promising fall exploration program at its copper-silver Project Wabash in central Quebec, Kallanish reports.

“The visual observations at Wabash, the discovery of new trenches and the initial anomalies coming out of the soil survey are all indicative of a potential important discovery,” says president and ceo Kiril Mugerman in a statement. The company says it is “very encouraged” by the latest exploration work.

The project is 65km north of the company’s Mitchi flagship project with its gold, copper, silver and manganese and 15km east of Parent, Quebec. The company owns 100% of 126 claims that together cover 7,266 hectares with a 0.25% royalty applying to only six of the claims.

The company says it intends to fast-track the Project Wabash in what is called Quebec’s Haute-Mauricie region and is awaiting results so it can determine the next stage of its exploration program, Mugerman says

The company has completed 50% of 2,700 samples in a soil geochemical survey of the tract. The survey work will continue, weather permitting, and will then resume again in spring 2021. The company plans to investigate the Richter area in the southern portion of the property next summer.

There are strong indications of a Wabash mineralized corridor that stretches 2.5km that is 80 metres wide in the north and 200 metres wide in the south, it says. It says the corridor remains open in all four directions. It began trenching a portion of the corridor last month. The trenching will continue throughout 2021 to better understand the structural geology, it says.

It plans to begin geophysical induced polarisation survey this month in order to determine the continuity on mineral units laterally and at depth.

The company says it sees a strong connection between Wabash and Mitchi and is using knowledge gained at Wabash to revisit areas at Mitchi, it says..

The company is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec.
