COPPER: Federal judge backs Hudbay Minerals in Arizona court fight
A federal judge has backed Ontario-based Hudbay Minerals in a legal fight over its Copper World and Rosemont copper projects in southern Arizona, Kallanish reports.
US District Judge James Soto dismissed two lawsuits, one filed by three Indian tribes and another filed by eco-groups, seeking to block the Copper World project. The judge ruled that the two projects are not legally connected.
