COPPER: Carbomas to develop La Jagua del Pilar project
The Colombian government has awarded local miner Carbomas a 30-year concession contract for the exploration and production of copper in Block 4, located in the La Guajira region.
The agreement is part of the country’s plan to diversify mining, Kallanish notes. Block 4 covers an area of 470,000 hectares in the municipality of La Jagua del Pilar.
