COPPER: BLM releases final EIS for Nevada copper expansion
The US Bureau of Land Management is releasing an environmental impact statement that could advance the expansion of the Robinson copper mine seven miles west of Ely, Nevada, Kallanish reports.
KGHM Robinson Nevada Mining Co wants to extend the life of the mine by an additional four years to 2028 by again mining one pit and allowing rock disposal on two areas of public lands in White Pine County, Nevada.
