Construction begins on Florida battery storage project
Construction is underway on what Florida Power & Light calls the world’s largest integrated solar-powered battery system in the world, Kallanish reports.
The battery system at the Manatee Energy Storage Centre will have a capacity of 409 megawatts, delivering 900 megawatt-hours of energy. That is enough to power Disney World for about seven hours, the company says.
