Con Ed, Centrica to install battery storage, EV chargers in NYC
New York City electric utility Con Edison has inked a deal with Centrica Business Solutions for an integrated battery system and electric vehicle chargers in the Gowanus neighborhood.
Centrica’s 15 megawatt-hour system will feature 18 fast chargers in a lot-style system, available for public use. Separately, New York City is in the midst of installing its first set of curbside charging systems, with 100 planned by October.
