Cobalt sulphate price drops 15.5% in August on weakened downstream demand
The average price of cobalt sulphate in the Chinese market dropped around 15.5% in August, mainly due to weakened ternary battery downstream demand, Kallanish learns.
According to data from iccsino.com, from 1 August to 30 August, the price of Chinese cobalt sulphate (of grades no less than 20.5%) declined from CNY 42,000 ($5,786)/tonne to CNY 35,500/t.
