COBALT, COPPER: CATL subsidiary buys 25% stake in Kisanfu mine
Chinese battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) says a subsidiary is acquiring a stake in China Molybdenum Co’s Kisanfu copper-cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kallanish reports.
Subsidiary Ningo Brunp CATL New Energy Co will acquire a 25% stake in CMOC’s KFM Holding Ltd, which holds 95% of the Kisanfu mine, for $137.5 million.
