China’s Tsingshan to invest $233m into Chilean LFP plant

China’s Tsingshan Holding Group is preparing to invest $233 million in a lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) production plant in the Antofagasta region of Chile. Tsingshan subsidiary Yongqing Technology was chosen to develop the plant, which is expected to begin operations in May 2025.
