China’s NEV production, sales break new record in August
Despite the downturn on the conventional automotive industry due to chip shortages and Covid-19 outbreaks, both production and sales of China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) have posted record highs in August, Kallanish reports.
According to data released by the China Automotive Manufacturers Association (CAAM) on Friday, the penetration rate of NEVs rose to 11% over January-August, compared to around 10% a month earlier.
